I know this isn't really news, and is a repetition of something I stated
earlier, but this is worth repeating.
I
am sick of people labeling bands as "pop rock", "alternative", "heavy
metal", "hardcore", etc. All of these classifications are all part of
one main genre, and that is ROCK!!!!!!
The
recording industry has messed with our heads, and has made rock fans turn
against each other in order to push rap and R&B. People, stop complaining
that Metallica or Rob Halford (former/legendary Judas Priest singer for
those who don't know) sold out!!!!!!! They are still part of the genre
known as rock, and that is all we need to know!!!! We must work together
and not against each other, in order to bring the two extremes (pop rock
and heavy metal) back together to create a force that the recording industry
must deal with!!!!!!!! If we don't, the recording industry has won this
little "game", and rap and R&B will get that much stronger in the
years to come. I dread that thought. Now, why am I telling you this? There
is no better place to start than in the underground music scene!! It is
here that tomorrow's rock resurgence resides!!!!
