22, 2002 After five years in Weapon X, bassist and founding member Max Lopez has decided to leave the band. "Max is leaving for parts unknown and reasons only clearly known and understood by himeslf," states guitarist Vinnie Guarniere. The band is currently auditioning bass players. Vinnie added, "If you like to have fun, can laugh at yourself (and your band mates), are a proficient, motivated and self-sufficient player who can freely jam and improvise and are 1000% committed to making Original music your career, then give us a shout." 6, 2002 Weapon X are in the running for the 2002 Boston Big Rock Showcase on October 6th. June
4, 2002 Congratulations to Gargantua Soul guitarist Marc Amendola for recently getting married. In other Gargantua Soul news, Jay Bozzi and Dave Arnold have left the band. Jay "didn't feel the music anymore and wanted a change," according to Phil of the G-Soul Street Team. No word as to why Dave left. Coming in on guitar is Kai Blackwood and Rob Sanzone on bass. Congratulations to drummer Pete Mould (of Vicious Cirkill) and his wife Cheryl on their new addition to their family. On April 12th, William Christopher was born. Vicious Cirkill and Dead Wait will be embarking on a small Northeast tour. Vicious Cirkill is also putting the finishing touches on a new CD. Calyx In Ruin may be in the market for a new drummer (again), as their current drummer doesn't want to go in such a heavy direction. 19, 2002 Congratulations are in order for Splitshift, a band from Springfield, MA who have had mild success as the Children of the KoRn tribute, have signed a record deal. Their song "Adrian" has been getting numerous spins throughout the Hartford and Boston areas. March

12, 2002 Calyx In Ruin has been in the studio and also plan on releasing new music. January
27, 2002 After a brief hiatus, American Trashed are back together and are working on a new studio album. Congratulations to Ray Pronovost, guitarist of Springfield, MA-based Calyx In Ruin, who recently got engaged to his girlfriend Laura. In addition, the band has launched their new site at: www.calyxinruin.com, and two new songs, "Antibody" and "Orchid" are available for download on their MP3 page. The songs will also be available on their new 2-song demo, which was produced by Zeus (who produced both of SimpLe's discs). January
13, 2002 Weapon X has been audible on both Hartford's 106.9 WCCC (1/2/02) and Boston's 107.3 WAAF (1/3/02). Jeff Slater and Jay Ferarra have been playing "Mr. Sinister", and the band were special guests. They have many shows coming up within the next couple of weeks, including an unplugged show at Sanctuary Studios in Wallingford on Sunday, January 2nd. January
